I have actually sewn something for myself today! I used a lovely Amy Butler pattern to make the top. I love the dusky pink fabric I found and I can't wait to wear it :) thanks for looking love sue x

Hi Everyone I made this little summer top for my grandaughter last week and now the sun has started to shine I hope she gets lots of chances to wear it.
I love the bright flowers on the fabric, it really makes you think of summer.
It fastens at the back with buttons and I put lots of different colour buttons on it to match the fabric.
I had my first go at making my own bias binding and I was really pleased with how it came together. I finished it with a big spotty bow.
It was fairly simple to make and I would encourage you all to give it a go. I got the pattern for this little top from a freebie with Sew magazine. Its also available in a fab sewing book called 'Making Childrens Clothes' by Emma Hardy. Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

I sewed up this pinny for myself this week as I fell in love with this fq of Amy Butler fabric from her Soul Blossoms range. I stumbled across the tutorial for it via twitter from a fab sewing lady called @fabritopia. It was a dream to sew up and I love it! especially the really long tie which I can fasten in a bow at the front. I'm no domestic goddess but I do feel a little more special when I wear it lol. thanks for looking love sue x
It was my daughters 21st birthday last month and she decided to make her party a 50's theme. I made this little dress and bag set for my gorgeous grandaughter Eden to wear. It really was a bargain as I picked up the fabric for £1.99 a metre! I sewed a net underskirt into it which Eden loved and she spent most of the night twirling around lol that's when she wasn't making off with all the balloons. thanks for looking love sue xx
I have made some little Bib and Burb cloth sets for my Etsy shop this week. Ive been negleting my shop lately but hope to refill it and have it stocked and ready soon. I made these sets from quilters weight cotton and I backed the bibs with towelling and the burp cloths with a lovely soft white flannel. I also made a little applique bird for one of the sets. I interlined them with some fleece to make them nice and squishy. thanks for looking love sue xxxx

I think its a first! ha ha The fabric cost £6 so was a real bargain. I dont think my first attempt at making something for myself is perfect but I must admit I love it lol. It also gave me a chance to try out my crimbo present which was a tailors dummy. It made life so much easier although once I had dialled it to my measurements I was thinking omg is that me???!!!!! thank go Im going to weightwatchers lol. hope you all like it and thanks for looking love sue xx

We have had so much snow this week that I just had to get crafting lol. I made a little pair of winceyette pyjamas for my little grandduaghter Eden using a free pattern from Sew magazine. I also knitted up a little cardigan for her too, I made some fabric buttons to brighten it up and finished with some fabric flowers. She is so used to me making her things now that she will only wear something if you tell her Nana made it lol. Hope she feels the same way when she is 18 lol thanks for looking love sue xx

I picked up a fab bargain at a car boot sale, 3 bags of new fabric for £3. One of the fabrics was a gorgeous raspberry coloured wool fabric. I used this to make a new little winter coat for my lovely little granddaughter Eden. I lined the coat with a warm brushed cotton from Cath Kidston. I was given a box of buttons recently that had belonged to my late mam. To make this coat extra special for Eden I used buttons from my mams box. thanks for looking love sue xx

I am so lucky as I get to look after my little Granddaughter Eden for a full day every week. Last Thursday the weather was rotten and Eden had the sniffles so it was a perfect excuse for us both to get messy! We baked some mini cupcakes and had lots of fun sprinkling them with pink glitter lol. we then got the paints and playdough out and got creative. She is my little crafter in the making and I love being able to teach her new things. I knitted up a warm little gilet for Eden this week and I have put a picture up for you to see.tfl love sue xx

I have been keeping myself busy doing lots of sewing and knitting. I made a cute little short sleeve cardigan for my little granddaughter Eden, I did her a bolero too but not managed to get a pic of that yet. I had a go at a vintage sewing pattern this month and I made a floral dress for my Daughter-in-law Louise. I used a gorgeous vintage fabric that I managed to pick up at Durham Market. I made another of the little girls bow coats this month as well, I love this pattern and I keep returning to it. It was from 'Heidi and Finn' on Etsy. Today I tried a new pattern and I sewed up a pink dotty fleece coat. I will eventually get some of these coats in my Etsy shop 'I promise' ha ha. Thanks for looking love sue xxxxx

I sewed up this little Easter dress for my grandaughter Eden yesterday. I found a lovely flower trim which I used to embellish the bodice with and the main fabric was a white cotton with a tiny bow motif on it in cream, it was a lovely crisp fabric to work with. Hope you all like it thanks for looking love sue xx

I've been sewing up some more little girls coats this week, I am loving making them as they sew up so easily and look really sweet. Luckily there are lots of lovely little girls in my life which has given me a chance to experiment. My plan is to get lots more made and put them into my etsy shop.
